**Published:** 2026-09-14

This week's disclosed robotics capital is paying for industrial work-content and physical-AI stacks. The largest named cheque is Maven's $100 million Series A for a wheeled dual-arm palletizer, not a walking humanoid.

Week of 7 September 2026. Eight sourced rounds, one $1.35 billion silicon stake, and no Canadian name at this cheque size.

**Companies:** [Maven Robotics](https://roboterminal.app/companies/maven), [Vecna Robotics](https://roboterminal.app/companies/vecna), [Antioch](https://roboterminal.app/companies/antioch), [Agility](https://roboterminal.app/companies/agility)

**Tags:** funding, humanoids, actuators, supply-chain

The default robotics-funding graphic this week is a top-ten of humanoid bodies. That is not what the originating sentences say.

[Maven Robotics](https://roboterminal.app/companies/maven), Santa Clara, came out of stealth on 10 September 2026 with **$100 million** in Series A. TechCrunch: "raising $100 million from RoboStrategy, LocalGlobe, Vine Ventures, and XTX Ventures." The robot on that cheque is a wheeled base, two arms, mixed-case palletizing. TechCrunch again: "capable of moving 10 miles an hour, with two arms that can lift up to 30 kilograms," and "as many as eight robots working 16 hours a day, with 99% or higher uptime." GlobeNewswire, the company wire: the money pays for **250 third-generation robots** and early work on a fourth. Hamza Derbas, to TechCrunch: "We’re not in the race for models — we’re in the race to solve industrial labor."

That is the week's largest named round. It is a dock job.

*Desk still. The scene is the job Maven is selling. It is not a photograph of Maven's floor.*

## The ledger

Amounts are the originating sentence, not a converted rank. HQ as country code, not a flag. "Nearly" and "more than" stay attached.

| # | Company | Focus | Round | Disclosed | HQ |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Maven Robotics | Dual-arm wheeled palletizing | Series A | $100 million | US |
| 2 | PHYMI | Physical Agents, open-world manipulation | Seed | nearly US$100 million | CN |
| 3 | Kinetix AI | KAIBot humanoid + hand + training stack | Angel+ | >RMB500 million | CN |
| 4 | Algomatic Dynamics | AI multi-finger hand platform | Financing | ¥5 billion | JP |
| 5 | [Antioch](https://roboterminal.app/companies/antioch) | Simulation for physical AI | Series A | $32 million | US |
| 6 | [Vecna Robotics](https://roboterminal.app/companies/vecna) | Forklifts, tuggers, CaseFlow | Funding | $31 million | US |
| 7 | SENAD | Truck load/unload, mixed-SKU palletising | Financing | nearly RMB200 million | CN |
| 8 | Zongwei | Maglev, motors, drives, encoders | Pre-C++ | RMB200 million | CN |

We did not rank two "several hundred million RMB" names that appeared on aggregator cards this week without a manufacturer number this desk could quote. That is a hole in the tape, not a rounding.

## What the money is actually buying

Three books, not one.

**Work-content, on wheels.** Maven and Vecna and SENAD are the same job class: cases and pallets, docks and trailers, mixed SKUs. Vecna, Waltham, 10 September, its own wire: "$31 million in funding," led by Unless, with Drive Capital, Tiger Global, Highland Capital Partners, and Tectonic Ventures. CaseFlow demand "more than doubling year over year since its 2025 launch." SENAD, Gasgoo on 9 September: "a new financing round worth nearly 200 million yuan," and "fourth funding round in six months." iLoabot is truck loading, unloading, sorting, de-palletizing. A March 2026 EqualOcean note was also "exceeding RMB 200 million." Do not flatten those into one cheque.

TechCrunch, on Maven, names the peer: "[Agility](https://roboterminal.app/companies/agility), the robotics company going public this fall in a $2.5 billion SPAC deal, might be the most similarly positioned firm in the market." Digit walks. Maven rolls. The $100 million is a bet that legs are optional for mixed palletizing.

**Physical-AI stacks that are not yet a shift.** PHYMI, 36Kr 9 September: 近亿美元种子轮, IDG lead, Yunqi, DiDi, Fosun RZ, YoToo, Hesai. TechNode's English: "nearly US$100 million in seed funding." Founder Liu Nianqiu out of DeepRoute.ai. The product is a Physical Agent — PHYMI BRAIN / BODY / DATA / LINK in the Gasgoo restatement — not a published uptime. Kinetix AI (超维动力), Gasgoo 11 September: Angel+ "exceeding 500 million yuan," Vertex Ventures, Fangguang, Wanshi. Shanghai Observer: 超5亿元人民币天使+轮. Press USD conversions wander from $69 million to $74.5 million. This desk keeps >RMB500 million. KAIBot height is quoted at 173 cm; DoF copies disagree (115 vs 117). We have not counted joints. Algomatic Dynamics, its own PR Times on 9 September: **50億円**, DMM.com as subscriber. English restatements printed $32.5 million. The yen is the number.

**The test loop.** Antioch, Greylock, 8 September: "Greylock is leading the Series A in Antioch." SiliconANGLE: "$32 million." Ring is already a customer. Seed plus A is "$40.5m" in the Next Web restatement. NVIDIA Isaac / Omniverse is a partner mention in SiliconANGLE, not a dollar. Simulation is the cheque that does not buy a reducer.

## The supply-chain line on the card

Zongwei (纵苇科技), Suzhou. STAR Market Daily, 9 September: Pre-C++ **2亿元**, Matrix Partners China lead, Shunwei, BlueRun, Shengbao following. Use of proceeds, same piece: 智能磁驱运控平台、平面磁浮及特种电机 — maglev motion platform, planar maglev, specialty motors — plus capacity and global delivery. Their own site, sTrak: "maximum speed is 5m/s, the maximum acceleration is 10G, and the repeatability is ±5μm." That is a transport and joint-motor house, not a strain-wave circular spline.

It is the only name on this week's sourced ledger that is selling the middle of the robot rather than the robot. Last week's G1 explode was a two-stage planetary, not a harmonic. Zongwei is the other way into that BOM: motors, drives, encoders, maglev instead of a belt. We do not have a factory quote that puts Zongwei inside a G1, a Digit, or a Maven arm. Do not write them in.

Analog Devices, 9 September, its own release: acquire Alif Semiconductor for **$1.35 billion** cash, "incremental contingent consideration of up to $200 million," close expected before year-end. ADI's sentence: "Physical Intelligence," fusion processors at the edge. That is the silicon landlord for whatever this week's bodies use to sense and act locally. It is not a robotics round. It is larger than the robotics round.

## Landscape

Maven vs Digit vs Vecna vs SENAD is the work-content row. Wheels vs legs. US manufacture (Vecna's wire leans on it) vs China last-20-metres logistics (SENAD). None of those four is a research humanoid.

PHYMI vs Kinetix vs last week's LimX TRON 2 is the China stack row. Seed and Angel+ cheques at nearly $100 million / >RMB500 million, while LimX's TRON 2 list price we already sourced at RMB 49,800. Capital and ASP are not the same column.

Antioch vs NVIDIA Isaac / Halos is the test-and-safety row. Halos, 12 September, put Digit under an inspection roof. Antioch sells simulation so you do not touch hardware yet. Both are landlords. They are not interchangeable.

Algomatic vs every dexterous-hand house is the end-effector row. 50億円 for a multi-finger platform out of a DMM group company. 36Kr, separately, has been writing that China dexterous-hand financing in 1H 2026 already cleared last year's total. That is a different tape. We are not going to invent a standard hand from it.

## What is not on the card

A Canadian name does not appear at this cheque size.

Korthos filed First Hydrogen's Exodus Actuation stake under this week's strategic book. The originating LOI is 23 February 2026: 60 percent, two million shares, "funding US$2,000,000 in stages." We have not seen a close dated to the week of 7 September. An LOI from February is not a 10 September round.

Just off the window: NorBot, Vancouver, BetaKit 3 September, **$1 million CAD** pre-seed to stand up a commercial integrator. Scopia Surgical, Montreal, 2 September, **CAN$2.65 million** pre-seed for surgical navigation. TetraGen, Winnipeg, $1.8 million CAD in August for autonomous welding. Mecademic's $21 million CAD was February. Those are real cheques. They do not make an eight-name card whose floor is RMB200 million.

Eigen Innovations sits at 444 Aberdeen Street, Suite 255, Fredericton. Inline machine vision: inspect 100 percent of the parts on the line. PitchBook last lists a Series A3 on 5 September 2025 at $1.45 million, not this week. They are the plant layer this week's $100 million bodies still have to land on — the camera that says the mixed pallet is actually mixed. They are not a row on this ledger. That absence is the story if you are looking at Canada, or at Fredericton, and wondering why the graphic is all Santa Clara and Shenzhen.

## The chain, two hops

**Up.** Maglev track, specialty motors, drives, encoders (Zongwei's stated use of proceeds). Alif fusion processors under ADI. Greylock-funded simulation (Antioch) and NVIDIA's Isaac mention as partner, not as a dollar. Copper, magnets, and planetary gears remain last week's G1 note. They are not re-sourced here.

**Peer.** Agility Digit, named by TechCrunch as Maven's nearest industrial peer, walking instead of rolling, and going public via a $2.5 billion SPAC in that same sentence. Vecna on the same dock. SENAD on the China dock. LimX on the research-humanoid shelf, not this cheque.

**Down.** A Fortune 250 CPG floor Maven's wire says is already running multi-shift. GEODIS is attached to Vecna in secondary restatements; Vecna's own 10 September wire does not name GEODIS, so we do not put it on the primary line. Ring, named by Greylock, is Antioch's disclosed customer. The rest of the "where it is working" column is still a press sentence, not a factory log.

## What is not in the record

We do not have Maven's customer name, only "Fortune 250 consumer packaged goods" on the company wire.

We do not have a USD conversion we will stand behind for ¥5B, >RMB500 million, or nearly RMB200 million. FX in the English restatements already disagrees.

We do not have manufacturer PRs for Wuwen Zhike or Qianjue's "several hundred million RMB" Series A / A+ as they appeared on aggregator cards.

We have not confirmed Exodus Actuation closed.
